The story goes something like this....
back in January 2005 the editor of "Fast Car" (a UK magazine for modified cars) contacted the Mopar Muscle Association UK with a view to doing a photoshoot of some heavy American Muscle up against the fastest 4WD Japanese machinery in Europe. The car they had in mind was Andy Barnes Sumopower R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R which has a best ET to date of 9.68 @ 144mph....on street tyres! Our man, Duncan "Cannonball" Watts took up the challenge and we headed off to Bruntingthorpe airstrip with his 8.9 second 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T race car. Unfortunately the weather turned wet and the racing had to be postponed till the summer.
But we got some great pics and a great day out.....
